What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Eileen made this fun scrappy sampler that she is calling "Sew Bright and Cheerful."  It started out as a Sew Along/Swap with the North Star Quilt Guild in Flin Flon in August of 2020 and was to last 8 months.

The only requirement was to use a light background for your blocks.  Instructions were quite open -make two 10.5" x 10.5" star themed blocks, make one 5.5" x 10.5" strip etc.

Blocks were to be swapped with other members at the monthly meetings, but with Covid and Eileen relocating from Flin Flon to Selkirk things ...

The Fluffy clouds pantograph seemed like the perfect fit for this one.

Roberta brought two bold and beautiful quilts for quilting.  First up is Color Jolt by Sparkle Stash.

Roberta selected the Fluffy Clouds pantograph and I love the vibrant green Fireside that she chose for the back.

The second quilt is called Gemini by Villa Rosa Designs.  This one is beuatiful with Batiks on the front and the back.  I suggested that Roberta consider black batting for this one with the dark backing and black background.  She agreed and we used the Quilter's Dream Midnight poly that I always have on hand.

This fun snail quilt belongs to Reneta.  The pattern is Garden Snails by Pen and Paper Patterns.  

Reneta selected the Fluffy Clouds pantograph.  

Most of the blocks were made as part of a block swap that Reneta and I participated in last year.  There are so many unique fabrics that were pulled from the participants stashes.
